I seem to be getting worse not better. I can’t take a walk without forming a scenario in my head and I don’t take in anything around me as I walk along. As soon as I have a lie-down I am somewhere else. Half of my meals get burnt because I forget I am in the kitchen with a pot on the stove and my poor kids now make me to look at them before they say something. My mind zones in and out through important meetings and seminars and I am getting absolutely no work done today because my brain has taken leave. But I have visited Mauritius, the Seychelles, Lahore, Texas and Cambridge and its only 9am. Oh, and maybe hubby thinks I am a bit mysterious (poor mother-in-law thought I was useless because I kept burning the food she left me to watch – "Oh, I thought that might happen again…").
I defo think I should get an Olympic medal for day-dreaming, might just get behind in my work instead though.

UmmSalihah-
ReplyDeleteSalaams! You and I must have be seperated at birth! I take daydreaming very seriously LOL! Ive been a daydreamer since childhood. It was worse when I was single for some reason, I guess the past three years (marriage) Ive been too busy to write them down.
Ive made myself and others laugh after putting my daydreams in writing.
Maybe I should blog them- not sure. Not all halal-not naughty or inappropriate, just wasnt muslim at the time.
Ill think about it!
Assalam-alaikam Sis iMuslimah,
ReplyDeleteI agree, I was worse when I was single, maybe hubby and kids help me keep my feet on thr ground a little.
I'd be so curious what you daydream about. I tend to rescue people a lot in my daydreams, or be on holiday, or wander round an enormous house.
I wonder what all of that means?
Assalau alaykum ;)
ReplyDeleteI daydream LOTS about vacation- especially places that are quite beautiful (mountains, mainly New Hampshire USA). It is one of fave places.
Other things I have fantasized about:
Ice Skating
Gymnastics LOL
Being a Mom
Travelling through Europe/Asia,
Mt Everest, National Parks of the USA.
Saving people! (funny u mentioned that too).
The list goes on and on. It must be my way of dealing with sensory overload, or just being goofy.
Cant decide ;)
