Foster Care Fortnight

This week and next (12-25 May) is Foster Care Fortnight in the UK. In this country it appears that we have a real shortage of foster carers, but in particular of Muslim foster carers (also here), although there are exceptions.

For those of you make the good intention to do this, my dua’s are with you, and for those who do this already may Allah reward you in this life and the next insh’Allah.

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The best house among the Muslims is the house in which orphans are well treated. The worst house among the Muslims is the house in which orphans are ill treated. I and the guardian of the orphan will be in the Garden like that," indicating his two fingers.

I was a foster carer to a young child with disability for almost 2 years , yes it was very hard but it was a very rewarding expierence practically and spritually mashaAllah, i learnt a lot and came to love this lil girl very much, I did it for the sake of Allah to have the reward and these children are blessed belive me , i mean disabled kids subhanAllah.

  2. Subhan'Allah Sis,
I am so proud of you, Allah reward you. If I go down this route insh'Allah, I think I know who I'll be asking 101 question. I'd love to know more about your experience, maybe you could write more about it sometime.

  3. Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your
blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but
I'm still new to the whole thing. Do you have any recommendations for beginner
blog writers? I'd genuinely appreciate it.
