So, I am enjoying making my cards, guilt-free despite the mother-in-law not looking very impressed and hubby sighing loudly to get me off the computer table (that’s where I do my crafting since he stuck his fish tank in the space my craft area was meant to go).

Charity cards
I have been thinking about crafting and realised I often feel guilty about the time and money spent on my card-making and jewellery making (although most of the materials are recycled or second-hand). I often think that the time and money would be better spent in ibadah (worship) and charity. But then I think our leisure time and creative time is for us to rest, unwind and grow. I was thinking of selling them in my brother-in-law’s shop and donating the money somewhere. I was about to put this idea to Kooky Little Sis, when she asked me if she could have some cards for a charity event she is planning. I definitely think that sometimes we make a good intention and Allah (SWT) makes it easy for us to fulfil. At the same time, I have also had some serendipitous luck and received vouchers from work for HobbyCraft and WHSmiths, which I enjoyed spending on a Sunday afternoon with Fashionista Sister kindly ferrying me around.
