As I am sure Kooky Little Sister would agree, chocolate fudge cake is a seriously good reason to smile.
I always did like these, ever since I flew home from Pakistan when I was eleven and we stopped off at Moscow airport, mum bought these as a souvenir, it was the only thing we had enough money left for.
I grew up watching "Morph", reminds me that before playdough, we had plastecine (unless you count the time me and my brother went to Pakistan and decided to play with melted black tar which was being used to construct a new road near our village. We had every kid in the village at it and being walloped by their parents for ruining their clothes).
How I love getting parcels and letters, even if they do turn out to be bills or junk mail. Even if they turn out to be for the brother-in-law or because Kooks and Fashionista Sister are re-directing their post to my house again (long story). I still get excited when I see them.
Not any old dates, the expensive, blessed and truly lovely ajwa.
The Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, “Whoever has seven Ajwa dates every morning he will not be harmed on that day by poison or magic.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5445) (5768) (5769) (5779)].
