Scotland Trip: The Village of Luss on Loch Lomond

Alhamdulillah, we had a lovely time in Scotland (I think we drove about 1000 miles in total over the weekend, which is slightly mental). Reviews of our visit to Edinburgh Castle and Loch Lomond will appear in Mum and Muslim magazine at the end of the week.
My sincerest thanks to all those who kindly e-mailed and posted about where to go - it certainly helped! I will reply to everyone first chance I get insh'Allah.

  5. Ma sha Allah, those are such lovely pictures. I do like pictures of nature, and lakeside scenery, water birds etc. We are lucky to live near to a small river (in south London) and when it's not too wet I ride my bike down by the river on the way to town. We have never been that far up in Scotland though - my parents like the Lake District and the furthest north we've been is Annan, near to Gretna, which we promptly decided was a dump so we turned back down south.

  6. Assalam-alaikam

I'm glad the photo's appear okay. I was worried that people would think they were rubbish or boring (you know the stereotype of the boring holiday slides).

I used my phone as I don't have a camera - my Nokia N95 which is on it's last legs thanks to my son messing around with the camera.

We drove past Gretna and Annan and I did think what an odd name (Annan) for somewhere in Scotland - sounded Egyptian.

Brother Yusuf, you guy's turned around too early. Scotland is ever so beautiful - well the parts we visited, I would definitely go again (Isle of Skye maybe - http://www.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENGB313&q=isle+of+skye&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=1131&bih=663)
