Visit to Leeds Castle

As there were only a few days left of the kids summer holidays and we all had leave from work for Eid, we decided to take the kids to Leeds Castle in Kent.  We had taken them previously in March and the ticket meant we could back again for free for the year.

Leeds Castle is supposed to be the most beautiful castle in England, I haven't seen enough castles to confirm whether this is the case but the castle is well maintained and the grounds it sits in are certainly beautiful.

One of the things I liked about the castle was how child-friendly the experience was.  Lots of children were dressed as knights, wizards and princesses.  The castle guides handed out sheets for the children to spot things around the castle and there were places around the grounds where children could take rubbings.

I asked Gorgeous to step back from this little pool and he decided to jump over one corner of it.

I managed to lose all of the pictures from my visit earlier this year, when we also watched a falconry display and got lost in the castle maze, but Kooks went with us on that trip, so has some amazing pictures here, here, here and here.
