Trip to Olympic Park: Paralympic Swimming at the Aquatic Centre

I was rather pleased to be given two tickets to the Paralympic swimming earlier this month.

The Aquatic Centre is one of the more iconic buildings in the Olympic Park, with its wave design, conceived by the prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid.

We got late getting into the venue as we had to drop the children into their first day of school first and then make our way into the park.

The vibe in the venue was amazing, with groups from around the world and groups of school children going crazy.

We ended up watching two men's heats and two women's heats, including seeing British athletes compete.  It was exciting and inspiring and it was amazing watching two Paralympic world medals being won.
