Eid Gift Ideas

The biggest searches I seem to have had for this week leading to this blog have been for Eid gifts and gift ideas.  So I have compiled a list of places that I go to for gifts or which I think would make gifts or are on my wish list.   I have listed companies and shops I have come across whose stuff I have tried and liked or would love to try I will keep adding as I come across stuff that catches my fancy).

Home
Little Wings Gallery do prints for the home and for children.  10% of proceeds go to Muslims Aid's Orphan Aid Programme.

Waafia also do attractive stationary and prints including greeting cards and some very stylised arabic from prints.

In My Studio has a wide range of Islamic themes cards and prints.

Silver Envelope do very attractive stationary, cards, partyware for Ramadan and Eid.

Ink and Ocean have lovely printable cards, money envelopes and banners for Eid, I particularly like the floral Eid card

Kustom Kalligraphy sell some cool items, my favourite are these cool coasters.

I have been eyeing up Eid decor and decorations by Lantern Court (bright, vibrant), Modern Eid (very stylish - themes in image below), Simply Impressions (some interesting decals), Eid Creations (for cake toppers and disposable plates) and Salaam Design (for their word blocks).

ummaminah sells rather unique looking dhikr beads and Pearls and China also do beautifully made ones.

Arjumand Abbas sells beautiful handpainted calligraphy with 10% of the proceeds going to a charity of your choice.

Crafts
I am a fan of Deen Creations cross stitch sets which I tried and found more challenging than I expected, but still complete-able.

Noah's Scraps - Another Etsy shop, this time with lots of gorgeous stationary for Ramadan and Eid.

Khadija Annette sells textiles for the home, mostly hand stitched or embroidered with so much care it is evident.  I liked the cushions and Ramadan calenders for children, but my favourite are the embroidered silk Eid panels for hanging in the home.

Salaam Cards sell handcrafted Eid cards, but what I really liked in their shop was the Eid favours.

I have a few plaques by The Craft Souk hanging in my home, which I have come across in local bazaars.

Fashion and Beauty
Secret Veils sells very stylish hijabs with metallic calligraphy printed on them.

Dukkan Yasmina sells very cool bags and clutches also printed with colourful calligraphy prints.

Jasmine Pearls Brooch Boutique sell the loveliest sets of hijab pins.

The Olive Tree Soap Company sells handmade organic soaps, lip balms and deodorants.

Bellisima Scarves sell lovely scarves, which I quite like as smart work hijab, but what I like most is the silver jewellery they are currently selling.

Pearl Amour Jewels sells pretty silver ans semi-precious jewellery including pretty hijab pins.

Olive Scent sell Islamic-themed jewellery and Palestinian art prints inspired by the artists desire to teach her child about Palestine.

Reesh sell abaya's and kaftans and some lovely scarves (I like the Explore Paris print they have at the moment), but it's their embellished bags that I am hankering after.

I really like the abaya's and dresses at Amy Amyz Creations, a company local to me.

Heart Hijab sell a wide range of hijabs, as well as abaya's and modest clothing. They describe themselves as an ethical business who try to keep prices as low as they can, to support sisters with financial difficulties, serve their community and put reward before business.
One of my favourite shops on Etsy is Jezebel Charms which creates and sells jewellery based on literary quotes from Shakespeare, Dickens, Bronte and Austen.  As we are all bibliophiles, I can imagine giving these to any of my sisters.

Men
I came across samples of Raviseine fragrances in a copy of Emel magazine a few years ago and fell in love.  I have since bought one of their alcohol-free scents for my husband and would recommend them.  They also do ladies fragrances.

Al-hijab sell mens thobes including Al-Daffah which my husband likes and Al-Aseel as well as their own brand (I have previously bought jilbabs from this company and found their customer services to be good).

Children
Smart Ark sell a wide range of children's products including stationary, games, craft kits, prints and posters.  I have bought my children a number of them and love the quality and colour.

Sweet Pea Child sells Eid cards, Arabic alphabet posters and Arabic flashcards.  But my favourite is their neat round letter fridge magnets.

Jannah Jewels is a series of books about four adventurous young Muslimah's and their travels through Islamic history.  My daughter loved the first book and I intend to buy her the next one too.

Kitaab Cellar sell children's books with the aim to that inspire, nurture and teach valuable life lessons no matter what genre they are written in.

My children have quite a few Goodword Books, which I find cover a wide range of Islamic themes.

My daughter likes the  Zahra at the Khadija Academy series which is  a bit like Enid Blyton for Muslim girls.

Other books they use include the Acorn and Berry Twins series and the Islamic History Quartet by Maulvi Abdul Aziz

A Crafty Arab sells handmade greeting cards and artwork but her children's educational items would also make nice gifts.

Food
I like Zaytoun fair trade products and have tried their dates for Ramadan and organic extra-virgin olive oil which is a staple in our home for use on everyone's skin including the baby.

No matter how much we sisters fight, we know we love each other really because one of us always gets something from Hotel Chocolat.  Most usually these batons.

If you like handmade products, I would definitely encourage you to take a look at the Muslim  sellers on Etsy, there are some real treasures there and some real skill and talent on display.

Disclaimer: none of the companies featured have paid me to feature their products, they are just products I have used, liked or would like to receive.  I have tried to stick to products which I thought were not highly priced (most of these are under £25).
Insh'Allah in future I hope to do a post on handmade and frugal Eid gift ideas.

If there are still not enough ideas here for you, then do check out these other pages I have come across since which also feature gift ideas for Eid:

  1. Salam, thank you for the links! This is quite helpful :-) Just wondering if you'll be re-stocking the kundan bangles on your feroza website? They seem to be sold out :-(
