Picture of the Day - 04.09.12 - Coffee at Dil Aziz

Earlier this week hubby picked me up from work and instead of heading home, took a long route into the city.  I asked him where he was going and he said "Dil Aziz".  I wondered if this was one of his friends, or he had to drop a delivery off or if he was just joking.

We go out lots but the last time just the two of us went out was last year, when we got two tickets to the Paralympic Games and spent the day in the Olympic Park.  After a busy and challenging year for both of us, it was bliss and balm to my soul to spend the day with him, having his full attention turned on me and talking and laughing together. 

So as we drove into the city I told myself not to get too happy because we'd probably drop something off and go home. 

In the event, we ended up at rather a lovely looking restaurant called Del Aziz of all things (Dil Aziz is Urdu for dear to one's heart).

We sat and yacked for  a good hour about the kids, schools, moving home at some point, all of the important things.  But it was just so nice to spend some sweet, peaceful, unexpected time together.
