Capel Manor Gardens - Summer Blooms

One of the reasons I wanted to come back to Capel Manor Gardens again after my visit last year, was that last time round we visited in October, when the weather was already cooling down and the best of the blooms had already gone.  We were surprised to find so much still blooming then, but I was keen to see how much lovelier the place might be in summer. We weren’t disappointed, there were some really beautiful flowers and a few unusual ones. 















I thought the colour of this rose was so intense and captivating, there is something quite uplifting about this shade of orange 







I often see poppies in colours other than red, but I don’t think I have seen this streaked variety before.


This rose is called Nostalgia and gets my vote for the most beautiful flower I saw that day:
